Salvation

The Bible teaches that God is perfect and holy, and man is imperfect and sinful. God has created mankind to live forever either in heaven or hell. It is our desire that you know the truth about God, about yourself, and about how to have eternal life through Jesus Christ. A basic understanding of salvation is as simple as ABC:

A- Admit, that you are a sinner. Romans 3:32 says that "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." God says that everyone has sinned (made the choice to disobey Him and His word, the Bible). Our sin separates us from this loving, holy God who created us - we come short of His glory. Romans 6:23 tells us that "the wages of sin is death." That means the payment we deserve for our sin is to die physically and spiritually, being separated from God forever. The first step in salvation is to admit that we have a sin-problem that we can not solve alone.

B- Believe, in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. Jesus is the eternal Son of God who came to earth, lived a perfect life, died on the cross to pay for our sins, rose from the dead, and ascended back into heaven where he waits to return and take His rightful position as King of kings and Lord of lords. These are facts! While we must certainly believe these truths, the biblical word for belive means more than accepting the facts about Jesus. To believe means to put our faith and trust completely in Jesus Christ for this life and the next life (eternal life - life after death). John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son (Jesus) so that whoever believes in Him should not perish (be condemned forever), but have everlasting life." A man in the Bible asked, "What must I do to be saved?" The answer was simple: "Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved." (Acts 16:30-31)

C- Confess, Jesus as the Lord of your life. A lord is a master or boss, one who has absolute authority; and to confess means to agree with or acknowledge. To experience forgiveness of sin, salvation, and eternal life, one must make Jesus the Lord of their life. Romans 10:9 says "if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."

If you will admit your sin, put your trust in Jesus alone for salvation, and make Him the boss of your life, the Bible says you will be saved.
